Peace is what we all desire, we want to be free in mind and body and be able to do and think the way we want.
Our world is full of chaos, we are flooded with insane amounts of information. There’s so much informations its hard to parse it all and it confuses and clouds our minds. We eat food that slows us down and work in soul crushing office jobs.
In many ways the way we live is anything but natural or even close to how our ancestors lived. This creates a conflict within each of us and we look for ways to cope; some healthy and some not so healthy. This article will give you tools to help your peace of mind.
True Peace of Mind
I had many many issues in my early childhood and my family had issues. I was verbally and physically abused for many years the result was I had real issues with anxiety among other things. At one point I even had homicidal and suicidal ideations that, thankfully, I never acted on.
This book is not a substitute for necessary medical treatment, nor is it guaranteed to solve any issues you may have. View what I’m about to tell you as tools that have worked for me, that I am sharing with you.
Life is a cohesive whole to be truly powerful you must be strong in three areas: Body, Mind and Spirit
The first step is the body. Everything begins in the body.
The mind gives birth to the desires that drive and shape us. The mind brings forth your potential and is your ultimate tool. Unlimited and all powerful.
The Spirit is fed and nourished through the mind and body connection. A healthy spirit allows you to feel a sense of belonging, wholeness, and a connection to the divine. The spirit is your divine inheritance.
What you will learn from reading this book, is that to achieve peace in your world you need to balance these three areas.
In the paragraphs to follow you will pick up tools that will aid in your overall peace of mind. Use this book as a reference that you will come back to, again and again.
Follow what’s in this article and you will be calm like water.
HONE THE BODY
Give Your Body A Fighting Chance! Clean out the Toxins!
My body felt weak, no matter how well I ate, or how much weight I lost I never could pin point why I was so weak and impotent.
I was using 25% of my capacity and using 110% of that.
So I put in the work and realized something very important.
BODY MIND AND SPIRIT ARE ALL CONNECTED!
YOU NEED ALL THREE TO BE FREE!
Its starts with the body, there’s no way around it, we must care for it. It’s the only thing that ties you to the earth and you must live with it. It’s hard to have to have a peaceful mind if the body is at war with itself.
The body works hard to maintain itself by doing what it needs to do: maintaining regularity and fighting invaders. This task is complicated by the fact that we live in a world beset on all sides by toxic elements.
We are exposed to tons of toxins in our environment. I’ll never forget what I read in Dr. Edward F. Group’s Green Body Cleanse. In it, he talks about all the toxins you’re exposed to everyday in your toothpaste, food, deodorant, aerosols, cleaners, etc. Many of the products you use have Xenoestrogens which wreak havoc on hormones and its well known that glyphosate, a type of pesticide, causes cancer.
The body can only fight so much for so long and so we need to aid it by limiting toxic exposure as much as possible.
Simply look on Amazon for greener products. There are all natural cleaners and detergents that are non-toxic.
Personally, I felt a huge difference in energy by simply switching out the stuff I was using for greener stuff on Amazon.
f.lux is one of the most useful pieces of software I’ve ever used. The program follows your normal circadian rhythm and adjusts your screen color accordingly, makes it much easier to sleep. Easy on the eyes too.
By now you should have a good idea of what products to look for so that you can cut down on your exposure to toxins. Look for stuff that’s been proven in the marketplace, each item I listed is the best in its category from what I’ve seen.
Stay mean stay green and you’ll never go back!
Exercise to feel good
Exercise 30 minutes a day minimum. It can be as simple as going for a walk or lifting weights. The key is to workout so that you have a pump going but not totally dead from working out. You really don’t need to workout longer than an hour, go to the gym like you are on a seek and destroy mission. Hit the weights, do some cardio, check out the ladies, and get out.
Use the gym as a sort of active meditation, use it to work out the kinks in your mind. You reach a point where the gym is merely a place to reinforce the mind-body connection.
Martial Arts: The Game Changer
Martial Arts is how you can develop the body together with the mind. You won’t be doing flying side-kicks right away but you will get something valuable: a life-long mind-body connection.
Learn a Martial Art up to Black Belt level and you will never ever forget how to do it as long as you live.
Martial Arts is the foundation I built my life on, without the mindset I learned, my life would have been very different. Here’s a quick guide on picking a school:
First, seek out a traditional Martial Arts school, stay away from the sports or combat arts for now. Traditional TKD is what I learned but Kung-Fu, Taichi, Wushu, Shotokan Karate and others are all good too.
These arts will teach you complex movements that can only be achieved by careful practice. You will memorize hundreds of choreographed patterns called forms and even spar with other students.
Martial Arts instills in you that the only way you get better at anything is to do the thing correctly and repeat it endlessly. There is no other way.
Along with the mindset you will gain a great deal of physical fitness, strength, flexibility and coordination. Traditional schools are physically intensive so you will get in excellent shape. Martial Artists are some of the fittest and healthiest people you will meet.
You will also build bonds with your fellow students and learn how to work together and teach each other. You will share laughs, you will fight, and achieve together. Good schools encourage a sort of camaraderie you don’t see too often.
To find the right school for you ask yourself:
“Why do I want to do Martial Arts?”
“Which Martial Arts am I truly interested in?”
“Can I take a punch?”
“Am I healthy enough for this sort of thing?”
After answering the above questions, you should have a good grasp of what to look for in a particular martial art and school. Do some trial lessons at a few places and pick the one that feels right.
Once you are locked in on a martial art and a school, you are set. Mastering a martial art is one of the most rewarding and challenging things you can ever do.
Balance your hormones
Hormones have a huge part in how you look and feel. They tell your body how to function. If your hormones suck, your life will suck and you will die early.
Lets avoid that by getting regular blood work. Get a comprehensive panel from your friendly neighborhood doctor or go online and order a comprehensive blood panel.
No reason for anyone to have bad hormone levels, its a terrible way to go through life. Trust me, I know!
Burn some Incense
Your sense of smell is likely the least stimulated out of all your senses. Its important to feel that connection with your body and your environment. When I smell something really good I can feel the oxytocin flowing in my body, its a great feeling.
I will not make any claim that lighting incense will heal what ails you. The benefit of good smells is that they make you feel good and put you in a good state of mind.
Go to Yankee Candle or buy incense online for cheap. Incense has been used for meditation for thousands of years. When I smell it I feel at peace and very tranquil, It even helps me sleep.
I had PTSD from my childhood; I remember getting extremely angry about people making fun of domestic violence and thats when I knew I needed help. I used to have periodic nightmare flashbacks concerning the abuse. I had to deal with my negative self talk and lack of self-esteem. To help with this my counselor gave me a list of questions to ask myself.
I wrote down all of my self talk to see what was going on in my mind and it was obvious. I had ZERO self-esteem and worse…
To overcome this issue I had to tap into my subconscious mind by doing the following: Write down what you say to yourself when you mess up and find words to replace them with.
You need oxygen first, mediate to clear the mind and then focus on what you want from life.

Your brain has the incredible ability to change its state and function. You can theoretically control this ability by listening to Binaural Beats, Solfeggio Harmonics and just plain white noise.
I’ve used Binaural and Monaural beats for years to deal with insomnia, depression, anxiety, among other things. Brainwave entrainment can work for you if you find the right frequencies. I use white noise and Solfeggio to go to sleep every night and use Binaural Beats for meditation.
How to Meditate
The first step is the mind. Everything begins and ends in the mind.
It is the mind that gives birth to the desires that drive and shape us.
Meditation is a state of ultimate receptivity; your mind is opens to the universe. When the mind is open anything is possible.
What few will say is that there are many things we cannot explain with science. In order to find the answers we must search inside ourselves.
Then and only then will we see the beauty around us and understand our place in the cosmos.
You could see things that defy any explanation or maybe you will see nothing and just have a peaceful mind. That’s perfectly fine!
Meditation is a way of connecting our minds to our bodies. We aren’t just a brain attached to a body but actually a whole being and our body is as much “us” or “I” as the brain is.
To meditate you must let go. Notice all the places where you hold tension and release. Let the thoughts in your mind pass-by but don’t try to stop them. At some point you will need to let go of letting go and this is when you reach the ultimate state of receptivity. When the mind is free from stress and thought it can interact with higher worlds. Your mind will be one of calm and power, like the ocean.
Whatever you set your intention to before you meditate is usually what you will get from the meditation. If there is a state of mind that you want to achieve, then set your intentions appropriately and tune into your body.
First, find a quiet place and go meditate, the outdoors in a park or in your own bedroom is fine
After meditation you feel a sense of communion with the cosmos, a peace thats hard to put into words.
Now you will take that calm energy and channel it!
HOW TO CHANNEL ENERGY
Energy is motion, everything is in motion. Our bodies are surrounded by powerful electromagnetic fields that are in constant motion.
Heres how you channel:
Sit in a quiet place, like a park or a private room where you won’t be bothered.
Relax and do some Wim Hof breathing.
Do the archer exercise as depicted in the video. The exercise will bring you to a receptive state. While in this state you can state you can either sit or stand in a relaxed position where you will not experience any sort of tension.
Channel your energy by holding your palms close together while sitting or standing, you should feel a slight magnetic pull, like there’s a beach ball between your hands.
This ball of energy you hold in your hands was created by your focused mind. You can mold your thoughts just like the ball of energy in your hand.
When I had a crazy active imagination and could create entire worlds in my mind. I would pretend to act out cartoon shows and pace around my room. I still do this today, only I visualize myself doing things in the real world. I love delighting in my own creations and this a past time for me since I grew up without friends. The imagination is the gateway to power.
Think about it, you can create anything you want in your mind, so what’s stopping you? Mom isn’t around to shame you about your “over active” imagination. You need imagination to feel alive and creative because it’s all your right brain does!
The right brain thinks in images and pictures, its the creative “feeling” side of your being. The left brain is analytical and abstract. When we grow into adults we are bombarded by information and messages from media and people we know, the left brain works in overdrive and this creates an imbalance.
All your life you’ve been conditioned to function off your left brain alone and you were never meant to do that. The two sides of the brain are yin and yang, one must counterbalance the other.
Your imagination gives you the mystical power of Creation. Think about it, everything you see existed in someone’s mind first. If you do not imagine the thing that you want, it can never be reality.
The Universe is MENTAL, you can only see the universe through your own mind which proves this point.
You can improve creativity by:
Write down your ideas, goals, dreams, plans
When you take the time to write down the things you want, you automatically start imagining the outcomes. The whole Hand-Mind connection is as hold as human race itself, there is no better way to get the imagination going by writing or drawing.
Listening to House, Techno, Electronic and Trance Music
These three genres have a lot of really awesome and upbeat songs. Really stretches the imagination in ways other types of music can’t. You will have to listen to alot music to hone in on what works for you, so go experiment!
Go on bizarre thought experiments
“What if I’m actually a Chimera in a VR simulation?” Sounds absurd doesn’t it? Dabble in the absurd and let your mind run wild; imagine impossible things. Ask “what if” questions and play them all out in your head. This will force you to use your right brain and be creative.
Speak to Your Subconscious
The subconscious is all the stuff that happens in the background of your mind. Habits, patterns, nervous ticks, its all there. Everything you see and hear your brain has to process. Your subconscious mind picks up on and stores the information your conscious mind has no room for. This means that things like images, sounds and smells have a subtle effect on your mind.
Your mind absorbs influences and suggestions like cells absorb materials via osmosis. It doesn’t know the good from the bad and will store ANYTHING you put in it!
Your friends and family aren’t evil and probably mean well but if they aren’t where you want to be in life you should not listen to them. If you listen to them telling you over that you should “Be realistic” and “Grow up” “That you’ll will never get anywhere. To be successful, and do awesome things you have to pick what goes in your mind and what stays out.
If you pick the right tribe to hang around they will be the rocket fuel you need to reach for the Moon because they feed positivity into your mind. If you hang around the wrong tribe they will drag you back down to the collective norm of mediocrity or worse.
In addition to people, everything in our society plays on our subconscious: Television, Internet, and video games are addictive precisely because the subconscious is so easily distracted. However, you can easily turn this to your advantage:
How to Influence the Subconscious Mind
As I mentioned, your mind is picking up on little things in your enviroment, TV, images, internet, etc. Turn this to your advantage by doing the following:
Buy posters that inspire you: This is huge, if you’re a bodybuilder or want to be one just buy a large poster of Jay Cutler, Arnold, or Columbo and put it on your wall where you will see it everyday. Buy posters of the things you want and aspire to and over time you will notice a difference in your mindset.
Listen to powerful music: Music has been shown to have incredible power over our minds. Seek out and listen to beautiful music that moves you deeply. Listen to music when you are working on a particular task that needs your full attention. Notice the sense of flow you feel, that’s the power of good music.
Write down and speak affirmations: Remember, your subconsious is the hidden hand behind everything you do. To change your situation just change your words. You can do this by writing down something like “I am Enough” or “I’m a bad muthafucka” over and over again in a notpad. Do this, and then speak your affirmation out loud everyday with emotion. Imagine your affirmation as a movie that plays out in your head. This communicates to your subconscious that the information must be important and it will store it. This is the reason why affirmations are so powerful.
Everything begins and ends in the mind and if you can conquer and channel the mind, you will achieve true mastery.
SOOTHING THE SPIRIT
For all the Science we have in our world, very little is ever said about instinct. We all have it and it usually isn’t wrong. The issue is that we have been conditioned since an early age to not use our primal instincts. Listen man, animals do not need scientific studies to tell them what to eat or how to live, it’s instinctual for them.
Instinct is the feeling in your gut and the thoughts in your heart. When you go against your better instinct you always *feel* the consequences. Here are some simple ways to bring out that animal instinct:
Keep your answers short and to the point: Answer all questions with yes or no. The more you meander through your answer, the less you use instinct. The reason why is because your mind loves to rationalize why you do things. To get in touch with instinct you need to be honest with yourself and speak the words that come to mind without the fluff. Keeping your answers short allows you to listen better and be able to get a good read on the person you are conversing with. Simply speak the words your instinct gives you.
Listen to the Body: Become keenly aware of your body, it’s your interface with the world. Stop living in your head and live in the body! Mindfulness practices have been written about everywhere, its a type of meditation where you live in the moment.
Act without hesitation, stop caring about what people think: This takes time and practice, you’ve been programmed to please other people. Put an end to this NOW! What they think doesn’t matter unless it does (interviews, sales, etc.)
Live in motion: Move, always be on the move. If you stop moving you are dead. Spend each day moving towards your purpose and instinct will guide you. Eventually you will stop second guessing yourself and start living.
Your gut is right 99% of the time: Its absolutely true and you know it. Think about all the times you went against that first gut instinct and you were without a doubt, wrong most of the time.
Trust your instincts before you trust people: This comes down to trusting yourself first and putting yourself first. The more you trust and use your instinct; the sharper it will get.
Tribes in the Amazon are very famous for their sharp and seeming clairvoyant instincts. So sharp that their instincts are as good as any Jaguar or Anaconda.
Go into the heart of Nature where you can see plants and animals. Notice how they behave. They have very little capacity to reflect or think ahead. Animals always live in NOW and seamlessly connected with nature; single-mindedly thinking of survival.
Many of our problems stem from the fact that we are disconnected from the heart of nature. We think that we are above it all and its simply not true. Notice the most miserable people are the ones stuck in cubicles all day, like animals in captivity. Animals in captivity do not have the same energy as the ones who live in the wild. People are no different.
We NEED nature because we came from it. Ever notice the sense of calm you have when you see the ocean or go for a walk in the park? You aren’t sure why but the sight puts you at ease.
Go seek out nature and notice the incredible peace of mind you have.
On God and Religion
God has played a central role in my life. I was brought up in a sort of christian cult and I broke away from it a few years ago.
I’ll never tell anyone what they should or shouldn’t believe but there are things that you need to know for your own sanity!
If you are an atheist, no problem but you will hit upon an existential crisis if you don’t understand the basics of Philosophy and Stoicism. Just because you don’t think there is a god doesn’t mean you can live in a vacuum. For atheism to work, you must study philosophy just for your own sanity. If you don’t nihilistic thoughts pop up in your head, its were you tell yourself “Nothing matters anyway”, no way to live life!
Now if you believe in God or many gods, remember: most religions at their core are the same! Same concept, an enlightened man brings truth to the masses and gives them a sacred text to follow. There numerous other similarities that I can point to but what you need to understand is that no faith is any closer to the “truth” than any other.
If you want answers, real answers then ask God himself, don’t expect truth from another. Truth cannot be given, it must be SOUGHT.
The issue with any religion is the fact that a particular faith can become skewed over the course of a few thousand years. The founders die and the texts are mistranslated, the original meaning is often lost in translation.
Most people fail to understand that ancient people often spoke in allegories. Many “events” in the bible are allegories for a particular lesson the author was trying to get across. The bible was written by people of Middle Eastern origin and these ancient people did not communicate ideas the same way as the West did in those times yet the west appropriated their own version of Christianity.
Very very few people (even among clergy and academia) truly understand the bible. Read these books and you will know more about the bible than anyone in Clergy today:

My own life for a long time was anything but peaceful and so I sought ways to find that peace. I’ve applied everything I mentioned in this book with great joy and success; my most sincere wish is that one thing here will help you.
The world today seems to be anything but peaceful and many will preach about world peace. But what’s often missed is the fact that world peace starts with the individual man and woman finding their own peace of mind.
